Amaan Hussain (b. 2004) is a gifted sarangi player and the eldest son of Sarwar Hussain, grandson of the esteemed Abdul Latif Khan. Raised in a deeply musical environment, Amaan has been immersed in Indian classical music from an early age, receiving daily guidance from his father. His formative years were spent at the Sangeet Research Academy (SRA) in Kolkata, where he was exposed to a rich diversity of musical traditions and encouraged to perform from a young age. Now an SRA scholar, he has had the rare opportunity to accompany a wide range of vocal styles, refining his craft through extensive practice and performance. Displaying remarkable virtuosity, Amaan is widely recognised as a rising star in the world of Indian classical music.
