Akash embarked on his sitar journey at the age of 18 in 2011, marking the inception of his role among the emerging cohort of talented British-born sitarists. Initially rooted in Western classical and contemporary music, his musical upbringing imbues his playing style with innovation. Over time, Akash has thrived as a creative force in the music scene.

Under the tutelage of esteemed sitarist and educator Ustad Dharambir Singh (MBE), as well as the notable disciple of Ustad Ji, Smt. Roopa Panesar, Akash has honed his skills. He has also gleaned insights from revered musicians like Ustad Harjinderpal Singh and Ustad Irshad Khan. Presently, Akash only tours internationally in UK and Europe.

In significant milestones, Akash participated in an ensemble in India in 2010, graced by the presence of His Holiness, Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Moreover, in October 2012, he seized the opportunity to perform solo in Prashanti Nilayam, an experience he regards as pivotal in his musical evolution.

Engaging in collaborative ventures, Akash has contributed to projects such as Penguins Rising alongside Zak Starkey, Mayur Navekar, and Michael Tedstone. His performances have graced prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall and De Montfort Hall. Continuously expanding his reach, Akash's performances extend beyond the UK to international stages.
