Shashank Subramnayan carnatic bansuri
Ojas Adhiya tabla
Ghatam Karthick ghatam
A special Sunday morning concert - grab yourself a morning chai and transport yourself into India through the sounds of the bansuri (flute). The charismatic duo, Godkhindi and Shashank, a household name in south India and a Grammy nominated flute maestro respectively, unravel romantic morning ragas. Make no mistake that this humble flute, made from bamboo, possesses the very fabric of nature’s sounds thorough the breath of this grand master. The duet brings the two different styles of Indian classical music known as Hindustani (north India) and Carnatic (south India) together with rhythmic accompaniment on the tabla by India’s tabla masters, Adhiya and ghatam master Karthick.
Let the sound of the bamboo flute wash away the stresses and strains of our daily city lives transporting us into the sound of nature for a profoundly healing experience.
