Kaushiki Chakraborty Masterclass

Single Bill

A special vocal masterclass with Kaushiki Chakraborty in London.

Following her concert at Barbican Centre, Chakraborty shares her unique insights into the school of music, Patiala gharana, from which she belongs.  The gharana was inspired by the legend and stalwart, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan (1902-1968), considered by many to be the finest Indian classical vocalist. She’ll also share her own personal archive recordings of her father and Guru, Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty.

Chakraborty will provide tips on developing voice flexibility and the best way to design your ‘riaaz’ (practice) regime. Learn why she has never eaten ice cream!
