Roopa Panesar       (sitar)

Bhindarjit Neer       (tabla)

Discover India’s iconic instrument – the sitar. Europe’s finest SITAR maestro, Roopa Panesar, performs lilting morning ragas in an intimate bhaitak (traditional floor seating) setting-  how Indian classical music would have been performed in the royal courts of India. Discover Panesar’s virtuosity and deep interpretations of ragas she as she is accompanied by the emerging master of TABLA, Bhindarjit Neer (known as Bilu), as they create dynamic and hypnotic improvisation and irresistible grooves. Neer learnt his art from the late Bhai Gurmit Singh Ji Virdee and is now under training from Pandit Yogesh Samsi, one of India’s great tabla maestros.
