NEW - Darbar 360 Video Festival launching on 25 December 2019

Join us at the 14th annual Darbar Festival for the finest in Indian classical music and dance.

Darbar Festival was established in the memory of inspirational tabla player Gurmit Singh Ji Virdee. This autumn, we have curated an exceptional 8 day Festival with music at the Barbican Centre in October and dance curated by Akram Khan at Sadler’s Wells in November. Darbar Festival 2019 will host long-standing legends, maestros and the best up-and-coming artists of Indian classical music and dance.

At Darbar, we believe that everyone can benefit from this life-changing art form. If you have never been to an Indian classical performance, the Darbar Festival is the perfect place to discover an enchanting world of melody, rhythm and movement. Whether you’re a newbie or an aficionado to this art form, come and experience some of the world’s finest improvised music and choreographed dance.

Making Indian classical music available to everyone through our digital work, this year we are delighted to be launching the world’s first 360 video festival of music and dance in December. With stunning scenery, sounds of Indian and a high quality VR experience, you can enjoy these concerts anytime and anywhere using a VR headset or smartphone. Sign up to our newsletter to find out more.

Let us introduce you to or deepen your experience of some of the finest improvised music and dance in the world. Trust me, you’ll be smitten!
