Raga Room’s Veena, Violin & Venu

Tue 26 November, 06:00 PM, Foyer

Session 1

Raam Jeganathan (veena)
Aditya Venugopal (violin)
Aravindhan Baheerathan (venu)
Senthuran Premkumar (mridangam)

A traditional yet uncommon collaboration between the three melodic instruments in Carnatic music: the veena, violin and venu (flute). In this VVV concert, three individual musicians will come together to improvise and explore in detail the elaborate gamakams and complex rhythms of Carnatic music. Raga Room aims to provide a platform to showcase home-grown talent in the form of traditional, classical Carnatic concerts; to create regular opportunities for upcoming musicians and to inspire younger players
