Double bill concert
The Dagar family dynasty is synonymous with Dhrupad. Darbar is proud to feature Dagar, one of a handful of the world’s rudra veena players, who returns after his sublime concert at the Festival in 2006. Dagar is noted for his control of the raga. The terrific young Munde accompanies on the pakhawaj.
Panshikar presents evening ragas from the Jaipur Atruli Gharana, known for its beautiful and unusual ragas. He is the most tantalizing disciple of the legendary vocalist, Kishori Amonkar, and is accompanied by an array of stalwart musicians.
Latecomers will only be allowed in at a suitable time during the performance.
