The charismatic Pandit Kumar, a proponent of the Kirana Gharana (school of music) performs a powerful stimulating programme of spiritual raga music. Khayal translates as ‘improvised imagination’ – dissolve yourself into stunning evening ragas. Deshpande and Kulkarni provide resolute accompaniment.

Ustad Nishat Khan is a player of astonishing technical brilliance and profound insights. He is renowned for his mesmeric and sparkling performances. As the son and disciple of Ustad Imrat Khan, he is regarded as the torchbearer of seven generations (400-year-old tradition) of India’s most renowned family of sitar players. He is accompanied by the tabla maestro, Hussain, who provides sensitive yet creative rhythmic support.
